Alvin Curry joined the U.S. Army in February 1977. In 1979 he married Carliss Dawkins. Alvin and
Carliss have been married for 36 years and have three children. As a sergeant in the U.S. Army
Alvin was a telephone lineman/installer and supervised approximately 20 soldiers to support the
company’s mission. Received an Honorable Discharge from the Army in January of 1984.
From 1984 thru 1988 he was employed with TCI Cable Television, Tacoma, WA and served as
Vice President of the Labor Union. Alvin received his accounting degree in 1986 form Knapp
College, located in Tacoma, WA.
Alvin began his business career as an Independent Agent with A.L. Williams Corporation selling
life insurance and investments from 1987 to 1989. Earned the rank of Senior Vice President
responsible for training and managing a team of approximately 100 agents to sell life insurance,
investments and build a home based business. From 1989 thru 1997 Alvin was a General
Partner with Global Marketing Alliance. Alvin was Co-Founder of Maxxis Group, Inc. located in Atlanta GA and served as COO/CEO
from 1997-2005. Maxxis Group was a public company with over 100,000,000.00 dollars in sales. Alvin helped incorporate myEcon, Inc. located in Atlanta, GA in 2005. Through his affiliated companies, Alvin is an Executive Vice President of myEcon. myEcon, The Personal Financial Success Company is short for (my Economy).
